The Etnomediateca is the audio-visual and photographic archive of the Laboratorio Etnoantropologico of the Department of the European and Mediterranean Cultures (University of Basilicata, Italy).
Since 1990 Etnomediateca keeps the video shots produced during the anthropological and ethnomusicological fieldworks conducted by anthropologists and ethnomusicologists.
In 2001 Etnomediateca increased the catalogue of ethnographic films acquiring the masterpieces of the history of ethnographic film (Flaherty, Mead, Rouch, Asch, Marshall, MacDougall, etc.).
The archive also includes collections of photographic images and audio recordings produced during fieldworks.
In 2017 we updated the website and we are currently cataloguing documents anew. For not all the films are yet visible in the catalogue.
